The 5k Course will Start and Finish at HHS – south parking lot. The out-and-back course runs east bound on the Rockton Bike Path to the turnaround at Hononegah Forest Preserve entrance, then west bound back to HHS.
The course is USATF certified. Final documents and mapping can be found on our course page.
How to Register
Registration can be completed through our mail-in form or through our (preferred method) secured online registration service.
Mail-In—Complete the REGISTRATION FORM and mail form (page #2) with payment to: Carrie Lynn Children’s Center, OSD5K REGISTRATION, 826 N. Main Street, Rockford, IL 61103. Payment must be made in check, payable to Rockton Lions OSD5K.
Online—Go to: RunSignUp.com link to complete the short process.
Registration confirmation and payment receipt will be forwarded to all registrants by email.
Event is limited to 350 participants.

Swag
OSD5K participants will receive the 2022 Medal, OSD5K Tech-shirt (male/female sizing), OSD5K Water Bottle, OSD Festival Pass and other race related goodies in their OSD5K Swag Bag.
OSD ZERO-K participants will receive the OSD5K Tech-shirt and OSD 4-day Festival Pass.
Shirts/swag will not be provided for late registrants unless available.
Packet Pick-Up
Early packet pick-up will be offered on June 14th & 15th, 2022, between 3-7 p.m. at Rockton Commons (330 E. Main St. Rockton). Participants are encouraged to use this opportunity to pick-up your race swag, so you have your festival pass for the opening of OSD.
Results
Professional electronic bib-chip timing will be provided to all registered OSD5K participants by Tri-3 Sports Timing See our run results page for more information on bib-chip timing and OSD5K results on the day of the race.
Age Divisions
8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+
Awards
1. First 350 registered participants will receive the OSD5K Medal.
2. Top overall male & female finishers will receive the OSD5K Medal, OSD5K Winner Concert Badge.
3. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male & female finishers of each age division will receive the OSD5K Medal and the OSD5K Winner Concert Badge.
The OSD5K Winner Concert Badge allows FREE entry to the Festival and Concert stages on Saturday, 6/15.
Raffle Prizes
Raffle Prizes will be pre-drawn randomly after June 7th, 2022 by the race director. Participants that find our OSD5K Guitar Pick attached to their race bib are winners. Simply present your pick/race bib at the post run event to receive your prize. Prizes in the past have included 30/90-day single & couple gym memberships, Rockford Speedway Family 4-Packs, Mulligans/Casey’s/RoadID gift cards, 1-hour massages, Sam Villa hair dryers/flat irons, gym gear/bags and nutritional supplement kits in the past. Awards and raffle prizes must be claimed at post run event and will not be mailed.
Our Run Charity
All proceeds from the OSD5K Run-Walk, OSD ZERO-K & Rockton Firemen’s Association Pancake Breakfast will benefit the Carrie Lynn Children’s Center. Please see our charity page to learn more about the center and what they do for both Winnebago and Boone County residents.

Parking
Free parking will be provided in the north portion of the Hononegah High School main parking lot. Registrants and guests are encouraged to car pool to save space since a portion of the lot will be barricaded for the race activities. Please enter the parking lot from the Salem Street entrance (west side of campus). The main entrance on East Main Street will be closed to protect runners/walkers. Follow the OSD5K Course link for directions.
OSD Zero-K
We have added a virtual race for all non-runners or walkers that want to help CLCC from their couch. OSD ZERO-K participants still receive the OSD5K shirt and festival pass. Those that do join us race day can line-up with our walkers and finish their race at the starting line.
